my second hard drive have a problem somethink happend and i cant see my files when i go to users desktop is empty i tryied to run cmd as an administrator and type atrrib -r -h -s e:\. /s /d and said access denied and solutions ?

My external acer laptop hard drive has corrupted and I could not find the reason behind this, can anyone provide me a valid way to fix and recover it.
