AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.7.1 is now available for Windows 10 and Windows 11, adding launch-day optimization for Gears of War: E-Day Open Beta early access and official support for the Radeon RX 9050. The update also fixes several rendering and stability problems affecting Radeon RX 7000-series and newer hardware.
AMD’s July 28 release notes list Gears of War: E-Day Open Beta Early Access and Out of Control Evolution as the driver’s new-game support targets. Xbox has set the E-Day beta’s early-access start for August 6, ahead of the game’s October 6 launch. The PC version supports AMD FSR alongside Unreal Engine TSR and Intel XeSS, so Radeon owners have more than one upscaling path available.
The release is not only a game-profile update. AMD says it fixed model flickering and rendering failures in Maxon Cinema 4D and Blender, a Blender crash issue, missing Fortnite directional-indicator icons, and intermittent crashes in some games using FSR Upscaling 4.1 on Windows 10.
There are still reasons to approach the upgrade carefully on production or finely tuned gaming systems:
AMD lists support for Radeon RX 9000, RX 7000, RX 6000 and RX 5000 desktop series in the new package, with Windows 11 version 21H2 or later and 64-bit Windows 10 version 21H2 or later supported. The driver package identifies Windows driver store versions 32.0.31035.1003 and 32.0.21045.1000.
For Radeon players planning to enter the E-Day beta next week, 26.7.1 is the sensible baseline. For everyone else, its bug fixes are useful—but Windows 10 systems using Smart Access Memory merit a post-installation check before the old driver is discarded.
