Clarity has announced a significant enhancement to its document management solutions by expanding M-Files' strategic partnership with Microsoft. This collaboration positions M-Files as the first document management system to natively store content within the Microsoft 365 platform. By integrating Microsoft’s SharePoint Embedded and API-only services, M-Files now offers seamless compatibility with Microsoft 365 Copilot and M-Files Aino, unlocking advanced AI-driven content management and agentic experiences.

With this integration, M-Files content can be stored directly in Microsoft 365, facilitating native co-authoring, enhanced AI outcomes with Copilot, and improved compliance through Microsoft Purview. This development provides customers with a seamless and secure experience without the need to switch platforms.

David Darlington, Head of Business Transformation at Clarity, emphasized the impact of this partnership:

“This is a game-changer for our clients. By combining M-Files’ metadata-driven automation with Microsoft’s collaboration and security capabilities, we’re delivering a smarter, more connected way to manage large volumes of data and content. This first-of-its-kind capability fundamentally changes how enterprise content is managed, accessed, and governed – at scale.”

This strategic partnership underscores the evolving landscape of document management, where integration with leading platforms and the adoption of AI technologies are becoming essential for efficient and secure content management.
