Maingear has launched its new Zero gaming desktop line, pairing a compact panoramic-glass chassis with configurations topping out at an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 and AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D. Prices begin at $2,799, while the highest-end Zero Champion configuration starts at $6,499, according to PC Guide.
The main distinction is MG-RC, or Maingear Rear Connection, which moves motherboard connections out of the conventional front-facing view and toward the rear and underside of the board. For buyers who want a showcase desktop without hand-building or managing visible cable runs, Zero is Maingear’s attempt to turn backside-connector hardware into a finished premium system.
Maingear’s product page describes the Zero as a compact microATX design with a continuous 4mm tempered-glass curve spanning the front and side panel. The company also says the system uses seven fans to direct airflow through the chassis and exhaust it through the top-mounted AIO cooling setup.
PC Guide reports that the preconfigured range covers both Intel Core Ultra and AMD Ryzen platforms:
That aesthetic focus has practical trade-offs for Windows enthusiasts. Rear-connector layouts can make a clean build dramatically easier to look at and photograph, but they also narrow the pool of compatible motherboards and cases compared with a standard ATX or microATX build. Long-term upgraders should confirm motherboard, cable, storage, and cooling options in the configurator before treating Zero as a platform for years of component swaps.
For everyone else, the Zero line’s value proposition is clearer: Maingear is selling a high-performance prebuilt where the GPU, memory, cooling, and lighting are meant to remain visible—not the wiring needed to power them.

A display case that happens to be a gaming PC
The Zero Launch Edition leans hardest into the display-PC concept. Maingear says it includes tool-free stands for figurines or brick-built collectibles inside the chassis, along with a TRYX Panorama SE liquid cooler whose curved OLED screen can show video, animations, or system information. That aesthetic focus has practical trade-offs for Windows enthusiasts.
