I am not able to use edge on my laptop. After few seconds it shuts by itself

Solution
I would suspect a third party Antivirus program. Are you using one? Also, there are several security programs causing the problem. Trusteer, for example, is a notorious culprit.

  • Repair or reset Microsoft Edge
Repairing the browser won't affect anything, but resetting will remove your history, cookies, and any settings you might have changed. You'll find these options in Settings > Apps > Microsoft Edge > Advanced options.

My Edge works fine, but you aren't restricted to the Edge Browser. I've experimented with a few others and liked the Firefox Quantum browser, among several others. Of course, there's also a big Favorite, Chrome.
