Hi,
Just do these simple steps mention below..

Step 1: You must have latest driver cd for the windows 7 comfortable...

Step 2: After purchasing it install restart your pc once and then connect your phone through usb cable now you can access your motorola i870 easily..

go to motorola

I had the same issue...I went to the Motorola support site..downloaded the latest drivers and Wala...it worked....I dont know if you use motorola phone tools or not...if you do..it is not compatible with windows 7 yet..still waiting for a patch. good luck
