I'm trying to be sure nothing goes wrong Any tutorial or advice on how to install 7 Ultimate without losing data or apps? I have 64 bit 7 Home Basic and just got my Ultimate DVD

Basically you'll have to do an upgrade. I'd still back up everything just in case. Personally I'd do a clean install and reinstall the apps and avoid potential problems.
