so basically what i described above... i tried this solution:

but the problem is that i don't see the "windows security center" or "security center" options on the services list when i do this! this link describes exactly what is wrong. please help me Link Removed NUTRA THRIVE Noom diet plan

It should be called "Security Center" in Windows 7. Make sure you sort by name and check again. If it's absolutely not there then you may have some corruption.

I'd run chkdsk C: /R and sfc /scannow from an elevated command prompt.
