Windows 8 First Look: In this video demonstration, Windows 8 Forums takes an extremely early look at Windows 8. Specifically, we successfully install and operate Windows 8 Build 6.2.7989.0.amd64fre.winmain.110421-1825. This build, which leaked to the Internet under suspicious circumstances, has circulated widely. The goal of this video is to introduce the viewer to alpha software in its most primal state, explain the dangers associated with intellectual property theft, and analyze the potential future of the Microsoft Windows family of client operating systems from a far distance.
With the greatest respect for the Windows 8 Development Team, we take an early bird approach to the operating system as the opportunity presents itself. Aware that the software still lacks core features and functionality, the video hopes to build awareness and excitement among the greater Windows community, while simultaneously promoting discussion and euphemism about the new operating system.
Windows8Forums.com provides an open, online community to visitors from around the world. It is an off-shoot of the much more successful Windows7Forums.com. Administered and operated by Microsoft MVP award winners and certified professionals, we hope that this video will be seen as characteristically unbiased and straightforward by the viewing public. With Windows 8 laid bare, Microsoft has opened the groundwork for an entire next generation of operating systems that will enrich the lives of end-users and consumers around the world.
