Hauppauge! WinTV-HVR-1600, Windows 7 RC and Media Center is giving me hard time.
First it got stuck trying to download TV guide info, did a little searching and found out mcupdate.exe had to be working. I ended up creating a link on my desktop to "C:\Windows\ehome\mcupdate.exe -manual -nogc -p"...

Thanks mike, the reason I wanted to do this was to be able to test Win7 better without losing my XP and Vista partitions, I installed everything from scratch, it works fine. I spend all my time with Win7 though.
Can someone help in this matter? I can't find a new driver for the damn Intel PRO 1000 PM NIC. My troubleshooting help doesn't find a solution either... It seems I am stuck.
Ok guys, I have a Sony VGC-RC210G HTPC, it shipped with 2x160GB drives in RAID0 config. Yesterday I got 2 more 160GB drives and I want to add them to my config but can I do this without losing all my current data in the original configuration? I have the Intel Matrix Storage Manager, and checked...
Folks, I have a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1600 TV tuner. For some reason I can't see live TV on Media Center. It was giving me an error like about PlayReady and I installed PlayReady 1.0 and then 1.2. What it does is, it hangs when downloading TV setup data, guide info etc. The progress bar moves only...
Thank you thank you.
Well, I do have the 32 bit Win7 and I downloaded the latest from Adobe, so yes. Finding the latest driver for this Intel(R) PRO/1000 PM Network Connection? Especially for Win7, that I don't know.
Downloading the videos is not a biggie, I used to do that with Flashget...
Guys, I am so fed up with this. I love the OS, don't want to go back to Vista, but this ONE problem is eventually going to make me. Help me fix it please. Websites with Flash video or other flash features, like even Google Maps, during the download of these videos causes my network connection to...
I am suffering from a similar problem, although mine doesn't die every two minutes, it seems to die whenever I surf on a flash based website to watch a video or some heavy downloading. Diagnostic doesn't repair the connection, I have to manually disable and enable the network adapter. I am in...
When I installed the beta driver by itself, all I got was the Audio panel, by simply using that how did you get the bass re-direction working? How about speaker distance, levels? I think you can do that in Windows Sound panel but then every speaker level moves along with the main sound slider...
Especially YouTube... I get a caution sign on top of the internet icon, indicating I have now limited connection. Only way to fix that is to disable and enable the network adapter back. If I only surf forums and all, there isn't much problem. I noticed it happens a lot on flash based websites...
OK folks, I installed the new beta OS and so far I am liking it despite a few issues with the dropping internet connection, etc, I like the speed of the new OS.
Anyhoo, I tried the new beta drivers for my X-Fi XtremeMusic. It installed fine but it lacked all the features of the original vista...
