I'm running Win 11 on a Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360, and my system is up to date. I recently lost the ability to have my notebook power up when I open the lid. So, I went to the Power Options setting in Control Panel setting for advanced power setting and looked at both Samsung Mode and Balanced Mode...
Is there a way to remove Outlook? Do I load the uninstaller for Office 2021 and if so, will it give me the choice to remove only Outlook? I take it that this also would remove remove Microsoft Mail. Thanks.
I'm not very familiar with Mp3 editing tools, but I want to copy, en masse, all the values in my Mp3s' Contributing artists field to the Album artist field. I know that I can do this through Explorer in each file's properties, but I have a lot of files to do. Ideally, something like a...
I solved the problem. It was with a Firefox shortcut that I placed on the Taskbar. The shortcut opened FF to my home page, my.yahoo.com. I found that. if I opened FF from a Taskbar shortcut that opened Google.com, the issue did not occur. I deleted the problem shortcut and created a new one...
If I may impose with another question that's related, my issue now seems only partially solved. I'm running FF 63.0.3 on Win10x64. For a long time, I kept Firefox to set my default browser to Firefox in the Options menu. Lately, every time I open FF, I am advised that FF is not my default...
True, but there is only one FF on my system, in any of the customary folders, and I don't think the remaining one will show up after reomving the real FF. My guess is that it's a, phantom entry with no artifacts in my folder structure. I'll run a search of the registry first
After a bout with some malware, I found that I have two entries for Firefox in my list of default programs in Win 10 settings. One won't let me pick Firefox as the default browser when I choose that one. I want to remove it from the list. Is there a way? See the screenshot. Thanks!
FWIW, you can get the system to boot to a USB device from startup, if you open the on-screen keyboard at power up, click Shift to highlight it, and restart. That actually just takes you to the Windows System menu where you can choose to boot to USB on the next startup. I don't know whether this...
Thanks very much, guys! This is the new Surface Laptop, which you can check out at the MS store. I attached a scan from the MS booklet. One issue with having to restart from within Win 10 is that you may be unable to access Windows normally. Also, I typically backup my drives by creating a...
I have a new Surface Laptop and want to boot to a USB thumb. Unlike the Surface Pro, the laptop does not have a Volume button. It does use F5/F6, but neither work for booting. I know that I can select a custom startup from within Win 10 Pro, but want to go from power off to USB boot. Thanks.
