I've used Malwarebytes Pro for years and never had any real malware of viruses. The worst I've ever seen is some PUPs.
My main reason for using Malwarebytes is that it has no noticeable effect on the performance of my computer.
I've never had any issues with it and nothing gets through. I...
I liked all the Witcher games but the first two are not like or in the same league as The Witcher 3. As far as I'm concerned it's the best game ever.
Tons of content, interesting story, great graphics it has everything.
I can't wait for their new game that's coming out this year, even...
If you want to run Ubuntu on your computer prepare your hard drive first.
Create a partition on your hard drive by making a space for in on your C:\ drive and then format and name the space i.e. drive D:\Ubuntu.
Then install Ubuntu on the partition from bootable install disk or flash drive on...
I'm not sure I understand your problem?
Can't you just Right-click on the drive you want the folder on in Windows Explorer "C:\" and select "New" "Folder" Create a folder and Copy all your subfolders back into it? Name it anything you want and make the Icon whatever you want.
For what it's worth I wasn't able to get it to work and she has taken the computer to a shop to be fixed.
Once it's working I'm going to go and install backup software and make a system image of her C:\ drive.
Also going to check and see what she is using for malware protection.
Well, I've kind of found a solution, it's not perfect but better than the other things I've tried.
What I did is set the App Scaling to a higher number, I started with 110 and worked my way up to 140.
As you can see this increased the size of the taskbar and other elements.
I'm trying to get my new computer's window size adjusted so that it looks clear.
My monitor has a resolution of 3440 by 1440 and at the default 100% scaling it looks crystal clear.
But of course, everything looks pretty small.
If I go to display settings and increase it to 125% then...

We were at a friends house today and she said that her internet wasn't working.
So when I looked at here connection it said...
"No internet secured" on the connection list.
When I tried to connect it just...
Yes, I think I'm going to have to log in with another OS if I'm going to get rid of them.
I'll have to change the boot order I guess because it won't boot to my Ubuntu DVD.
Another thing that's weird must computer I've had will boot to a disk when you get them.
I did run Powershell as Admin.
I guess the only other thing I could try is to boot into another OS like Ubuntu.
All this stuff works on my computer but on her Dell, everything is blocked.
It won't boot to a DVD either, so that's the next thing I'll have to look at.
Thanks, Neemo, I'll give that a try.
This is to remove my test folder...
Remove-item -Path 'C:\Program Files\zorba42' -Recurse -Force
That worked on my computer, I'll go try on my wife's now.
The command on her computer is...
Remove-item -Path 'C:\Program Files\Avast Software' -Recurse...
What would be the correct commands to delete a folder from the command prompt, it should work but I just don't remember anymore, I thought you could just type delete and the file address from the command prompt. It's been a long time.
I have used the removal tool I've done everything...
I'm still trying to get rid of the Avast folders on my wife's laptop.
I decided to try and remove it using the command prompt, or the Power Shell in this case.
What I want to delete is the folder at C:\Windows\Program Files\AVAST Software "Avast Software" is the folder I want to delete...
