    New Icon on Taskbar?

Hi everyone. When I logged in to my computer this morning, there was an icon on the task bar that wasn't there when I logged out. It's a Sun with a Cloud over it, to the right is the present temperature. When I click on it a page opens up with current news items. Is this a new Windows update...

Right Click on Start, doesn't open some apps.

Hi Neemo I just came back to say I never did figure this out, I started working my way through ShellExView but I didn't get very far and then didn't get back to it, there are several hundreds of them to disable and re-able. If you have any suggestions of which commands might make a difference...

Hi Guys I'm currently playing Control, a game about a woman with psychic powers in the New York FBI headquarters which has been taken over by some kind of supernatural power. At first, I thought it was too hard, I was about to give up, but I started to develop my skills and strategy, and now...

Why am I getting the message, Try the new cross-platform Powershell when I open the Windows now?

Hi guys I noticed today that this message keeps appearing at the top of the Prompt window when ever I open it? A quick search didn't find any explanation of what this is about, only people asking how to get rid of it. Mike

    JPEG photos not opening

One of and a standard of the Graphics Arts Industry is .tiff. Tiff files are lossless by that I mean if you copy one and resave it over and over the quality will not deteriorate even if they are compressed. They will be a little bigger than .jpg, but I've always used them for anything important.

Windows 10 Folder on desktop duplicating files on desktop

There is a folder like that under Users someplace, it sounds like it has gotten moved to your desktop somehow which is pretty weird. It is where the desktop items are really stored. Removing an item from that folder will make it disappear from the desktop. The normal location is...

How to install minimum WinPE onto USB-Flash drive PLUS portable program + auto-start?

Well I can't really help, but I can tell you it's possible. I have a program that does exactly that, it's EaseUS Todo back up and restore it creates its own Boot disk or flash drive. It can make a boot CD or Flash drive in either Windows PE or Linux that boots the computer and loads the restore...

    JPEG photos not opening

If you can copy and paste the files try copying them to a flash drive and see if they will open on someone else's computer, especially if they have something like Photoshop, or Photoshop Elements. If they open resave them in .Tiff format, and move them back to your computer.
