Hi now i have xp on another computer and i want to upgrade to vista then to windows 7, but do you need an activated version of vista to upgrade to windows 7 (because vista comes with a 30 day trial)

Even thought it's some sort of protection it's not as advanced and doesn't have as many features as mcafee, and in a test it didn't find inactive viruses that mcafee/ other security program. It's not the best but it's something for people who don't want free centers and want to go with...

Thanks a lot for all your help and support on this "issue" I've chosen to take the expensive road and pay for a technet sub and then download all that i want (but never got because of the price from pc world) i probably going to go on for a year's subscription then well see if i want to re-new...

This rtm version from technet, does it last for like ... forever and do you get all the updates with it as well or is it just like the rc try it for a year then reinstall etc
Did you install is as a dual boot/ upgrade from vista / or did you install windows 7 as your only os i've recently gone back to xp and seen how many updates there are for it - im on a dual boot but i haven't used xp for a very long time, when you go back to it you realize how slow xp is
I fixed it what i did was uninstalled live essentials then didi a repair install of windows 7 (AKA: upgrade to the same build) then i reinstalled mcafee and live essential and homd'hold it works and now that photo gallery works so does movie maker because movie maker relies on photo gallery
On win 7 i cannot launch live photo gallery the installation went well ( no errors ) But when i try to launch the photo gallery it comes up with this error: (look a the Pic) photo gallery worked fine on windows xp and i have more than enough space
Thanks for the quick reply So i have windows 7 on my C: drive (main) and on my second drive i have some backups on my d:drive I'll install xp on my 3rd drive then buy windows 7 ultimate upgrade do the hack etc and click upgrade
