close enough! i installed media codec pack from Media Player Codec Pack for Microsoft Windows (after learning it wouldn't interfere with the k-lite codecs - just the windows media stuff) and now it's working like a charm.

last week, i switched over to the k-lite codecs. now all of a sudden, WLMM won't import mp3s (i'm assuming the 2 are connected, even though everything else is working fine). how do i point WLMM to the new codec? p.s. yes, i've reinstalled.

well, my question lies in....... since i'm the administrator that's always logging in, how do i "remind it" that i'm the administrator so i don't have to remember to do "run as..." all the time?

this machine just has 1 user - me. in user settings, i'm listed as administrator of course. yet i'm still always bombarded with "administrator privilege" prompts, and currently............ i'm trying to untick "fast startup" under power settings. it's greyed out, as if i don't have...

just manually deleting everything in it didn't help. it has a lot of crap files that aren't going away. ideas?

i have a playlist that WMP isn't recognizing in the Playlists window. if i locate it manually and click on it, it'll start playing it fine, but since it doesn't appear in the Playlists view, i can't edit it. any ideas (other than deleting and recreating the library)?

i installed and played a game... sometime therein, it threw an error that the game wan't compatible with my theme or whatever and reset it. now i'm done with the game. and no matter how many times i go in and specify the "Windows 7" Aero theme, i no get any Aero. =( i really got used to...

i've been spending the last month saving all my videos (a few hundred) as mp4s (they're all wmvs). can i type something in the folder's search box so it'll display any that AREN'T mp4 to see what i missed when i'm done?

while downloading a pic, i accidentally maximized the file-destination window. now it's stuck at full-screen every time i go to download something. it won't let me resize it and there's no maximize/half-screen-whatever button on the top right corner. ideas?
