Windows 7 Windows Explorer Extremely Slow
What you say is, those values are over "normal"? Could you give a screenshot of the Taskbar? ==================================== Otherwise and further: 1. Run a thorough Anti Virus scan, plus a run with say, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware ---- Free Anti-Malware & Internet Security Software 2. Also...- Pauli

Introduce Yourself
Welcome. Windows 10 has some start problems, I couldn't get any sound at all, nor my DVBViewer to show video. Power DVD 14 Ultra gave video, but no sound. I spent a few hours trying to find out a solution, but I noticed that it's happened to many. Since I need my computer to earn my living, as...- Pauli

Windows 10 Upgrading to Windows 10
Windows 10 comes in waves. It's not available to everyone at once, you will see an icon in your taskbar when it's downloadable. But, Sokil, you cannot have a pirate copy that is "legitimate" - that is a juridical impossibility. Pirate copies are doomed for a dead end, sooner or later. You're on...- Pauli

Windows 7 Which Anti-Virus do You Use?
I agree with Mike, a solid statement. Although I must admit, I'm more of a "feel for it" person. Technically, facts are most important. Emotionally, what you feel is right, is right. I'm still, at age almost 57, trying to find a balance. The MOST important is to have one AV running. What comes...- Pauli

Windows 7 "Get Windows 10 App" not working
As far as I know, Windows 10 isn't available yet as the free update. It'll be available in late July, or something, this year. Microsoft has promised to send it automatically - once you get the message, you can decide whether to update or not.- Pauli

Windows 10 Upgrading to Windows 10
Contact Microsoft. You should have received an e-mail, to validate your update. It may have gone to trash = dump, depending on your security settings. But if you have a legitimate Windows, you're always free to contact them. My experience of their customer service is... SPLENDID! Just get a new...- Pauli

Windows 7 Broken icons on Task Bar
Oh. Your attachment seems to indicate registry markings, I'm not so very good with that, we need to have a more experienced person involved. I would recommend Revo and CCleaner, they are very safe. http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html Link Removed- Pauli

Windows 7 The most frustrating malware/ "chrome wont open" issue I've ever had.
Uninstall Chrome, reboot, run CCleaner with registry fix, reboot, then re-install Chrome, fresh from net, not from a saved on disk. Chrome has had some problems lately, works fine but I don't really know if I have updates or not... Like Josephur says, in the same spirit, take OFF any...- Pauli

Windows 7 Broken icons on Task Bar
Right click and "Unpin". Do a thorough uninstall with Revo Uninstaller, preferably also with CCleaner to get rid of any mess. It's just some leftover, not anything dangerous, would be my estimate. Someone out there wants to remind you...- Pauli

Windows 7 USB Devices Not Recognized After Installing Second Hard Drive in Windows 7
I've read one truly honest comment, by an expert: he stated some years ago that We are not in the IT age, we are heading towards it. We're on the way, this is still experimental. The days of Battlestar Galactica or Stargate Atlantis are way ahead. Personally, I think the days when your phone...- Pauli
