Now this is bizarre. Yesterday I could connect fine, today I can't connect. What could be the problem. The settings on my home pc have not changed since then.
Thanks very much Jack. This finally worked. You know though, I hunted online for days and never came accross these instructions. The problem I had was the settings for port forwarding my router. Thanks again.
Thanks Jack. I am using the correct ip address. Before I started I used "whatismyipaddress", wrote it down and that's what I put in on the other end when I tried to connect. I even put in the port number after a colon " 70.xx.xxx.54:3389
I'm using Win7 Professional at home and winxp at my office. I can connect fine from home to office but can't connect from my office to home. I have gone through all of the google searchs and all of the posts on this forum without any luck. I have checked that my modem has port 3389...
I have the beta build and like it very much. It runs quite well on my pc. It's installed on a separate partition. I understand that when the RC is out, I should wipe the Win7 partition and install the RC fresh. My question is, when the final version is out, will I need to go through...
That's all fine and dandy for the big corporate users, but what about us home users who have no access to Vista Ultimate? I know no one who using it, so in order to do this XP-Vista-7 upgrade I'd have to buy a copy of Vista and a copy of Win7. Don't think I'll be doing this. Even though...
Thanks, this is a good "workaround", but considering the number of XP users who will be upgrading to win7 don't you think Microsoft will come up with a more "convenient" way to do it?
I would be curious to get some reactions to those who have upgraded a WinXp system to Windows 7. I have installed the beta on a separate paration but when the final is released I would like to upgrade my existing winXP system. Just wanted to know how this would work out. Thanks.
I'm having the same problem and I have also created the new partition with Acronis. How does one do this with "the installer" ? Or should I just use Winxp explorer to format this new partition? Thanks.
I have setup a Ramdisk with Virtual Hard Drive Pro and would like to install Windows 7 there, but when I run the installer it does not recognize the drive. Can someone help? Thanks.
