The source is a regulatory filing. Current Report No. 27/2026, dated 3 November 2026, comes from the Warsaw-listed Polish publisher and developer. In it, 11 bit studios says it entered a licensing agreement with Microsoft Corporation on that date. The agreement lets three titles from the company's publishing portfolio, scheduled for 2027, be made available through Game Pass. The rights to the games stay with 11 bit.
The filing also says:
- The deal may affect 11 bit's financial results in later reporting periods.
- The company is withholding detailed terms, including the schedule and the financial terms, because of commercial confidentiality obligations.
- 11 bit disclosed the agreement promptly because of its possible effect on future results. It also cited its established practice of reporting Game Pass agreements.
Corroborating coverage describes the deal the same way. Niche Gamer reports that the company disclosed it in an investor report, that the rights stay with 11 bit, and that the financial terms and schedule are confidential.
What is not confirmed
- The titles. Pure Xbox notes that the deal doesn't name the three games. It says they come from the "publishing portfolio," so 11 bit didn't necessarily develop them.
- Launch timing. GameRant points out that the deal confirms Game Pass availability but doesn't explicitly say subscribers get the games on launch day. It adds that 11 bit has historically been happy with day-one launches on the service. Some outlets, such as Pure Xbox and Big-N, wrote "day one" in their headlines. That is an inference, not something the filing states.
- Tiers and platforms. The filing doesn't mention Game Pass tiers or which devices get the games.
The speculation, clearly labeled
Several outlets name likely candidates. TrueAchievements says fans online theorize the games could be Crop, Volatiles and Trainwatch. Details on those three:
- Trainwatch is the only one with an exact date: Wednesday, March 10, 2027.
- Crop has a 2027 release window.
- Volatiles has no release date. TrueAchievements says its Steam page lists it as "coming soon."
GameRant also floats Frostpunk 1886, which 11 bit is both developing and publishing. The filing covers publishing-portfolio titles, which could argue against it. Niche Gamer says ISBnews highlighted Crop, Trainwatch and Volatiles. It adds that this makes them relevant possibilities, but the company hasn't confirmed them as the three games covered.
A release date for a game is not the same as a Game Pass date. Trainwatch is slated for PC on March 10, 2027, but no source ties that date to Game Pass availability.
Why this matters for Game Pass subscribers
11 bit already has a track record on the service. GameRant lists Frostpunk 2 and The Alters as day-one Game Pass games, and credits its publishing arm with Indika, Creatures of Ava and Death Howl. In its first-half 2025 report, 11 bit named recurring Game Pass income, mainly from The Alters and Frostpunk 2, as a contributor to revenue.
GameRant also notes the company has been through change. It cancelled its unannounced Project 8 in December 2024 and then cut about 20 more jobs in a 2026 restructuring. Its reading is that a steady publishing schedule is now a priority, and that a Game Pass deal could widen the reach of upcoming projects. That is the outlet's interpretation, not a statement from the filing.
For a smaller publisher, a subscription licence like this typically gives revenue visibility before launch. That is general industry knowledge, not something disclosed here. 11 bit's own wording that the deal "may" affect results is deliberately cautious.
The 2027 slate is already filling up. GameRant says RGG Studio's Stranger Than Heaven arrives on January 15 and Playground Games' Fable on February 23. Both are AAA day-one titles for the service. The 11 bit games would likely be smaller, more experimental additions beside them.
