What you actually do in it
Xbox's description calls it a dungeon crawler and exploration game that rewards curiosity and resourcefulness. You explore corridors, rooms and passageways, solve puzzles, and learn how enemies with different behaviours operate.
Between trips you go back to camp. There you use scavenged materials to craft tools and cook meals. The listing says "food is progress". Recipes unlock over time and affect your stats in different ways.
Xbox Wire describes it as a Brazilian-developed exploration and survival game. The dungeon is handmade, with puzzles, metroidvania elements and crafting. This is not a procedurally generated roguelite. The Sixth Axis, previewing it in April, said the dungeon was hand-crafted rather than generated. It also described a mid-to-late 90s 3D look. That is one outlet's early impression, not a verified review.
Co-op: online, up to three players
You can play solo or with up to two friends. The Xbox listing shows online co-op, single player and Xbox cross-platform co-op. It also shows Xbox achievements and cloud saves.
Xbox says co-op is about connecting, sharing knowledge and taking care of each other, not competing. No local or couch co-op is described.
The listing's capabilities line reads "Online co-op (2-4)". That conflicts with the "up to two friends" text, which makes a party of three. A community wiki, MeowDB, also notes that an older Raw Fury page said three friends. Treat "up to three players total" as the most consistent reading, but expect some confusion until the pages are cleaned up.
What this means for PC and Xbox players
Play Anywhere. The game supports Xbox Play Anywhere, so a purchase should cover both Xbox and Windows versions. The Xbox listing also shows cloud saves. I have not verified how saves sync in practice, so I won't promise it.
Where to play on PC. You can use Steam or the Xbox app on PC. Game Pass subscribers on PC Game Pass or Ultimate can play without buying. If you buy it, Play Anywhere matters more.
Handhelds. Raw Fury says the game is Xbox handheld verified, which is relevant if you play on a Windows handheld. Performance has not been tested here.
Cloud and subscriptions. The store notes that the cloud-playable game is included with Game Pass Ultimate. Essential and Premium members would need to buy the game to stream it. Online multiplayer on console needs Game Pass Essential, Premium or Ultimate, sold separately. Don't confuse that with the tiers that include the game itself.
What is not established
- No review scores or performance data were available at launch. TheXboxHub says its review is coming.
- I found no verified system requirements, file size or accessibility details.
- A third-party site claims a Mac version, but the official Raw Fury and Xbox sources I checked don't list one.
- The exact global unlock time is unconfirmed.
Bottom line
For subscribers, the practical point is simple: if you have Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass, it costs nothing extra to try. Everyone else gets a modest price and Play Anywhere across Xbox and Windows. Whether the cooking loop is any good is something only players can say once reviews arrive.
