The headline correction: Resonance is already out
The TrueAchievements series page still lists Final Fantasy Resonance with a 6 November 2026 date. The Xbox Store, however, lists the release date as 10/22/2026, which matches the tracker's own news feed. That feed is already running Resonance achievement and Esper guides and a review. Treat Resonance as a game that has launched, not one that is coming.
The Xbox Store listing gives these details for Resonance:
- Price and editions: The standard edition is $49.99+, and a Digital Deluxe Edition is $59.99+.
- Platforms: It supports Xbox Series X|S, PC and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
- Features: It is single-player and supports Xbox Play Anywhere. It is optimized for Xbox Series X|S and lists 4K and 60 fps+.
- Cloud play: The listing says it is cloud playable with Game Pass Essential, Premium or Ultimate, but a game purchase is required. That is cloud access to a bought copy, not a subscription inclusion.
- Early-purchase bonus: The Squire Kickstart Pack contains a Blessed Cuirass and a Mist Ether. It is available only to customers who buy by November 5, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. local time. The items are claimed from the postbox in front of the inn in the Town of Mitra after a certain point in the game.
Square Enix describes it as the first Final Fantasy game in the HD-2D lineup. The store text promises cinematic pixel art, turn-based battles built around staggering enemies, and Visions that echo characters from across the series. That is publisher marketing, not an independent assessment.
The real Game Pass news: Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade
The Game Pass item in the tracker's news feed is real, and it is the only Final Fantasy title in the catalog that this research confirms is joining the service. Square Enix and Xbox announced that Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade comes to Xbox Game Pass on October 29 for Xbox Series X|S, Cloud and PC. It will be included in Game Pass Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass.
Two scope notes on that:
- Essential is excluded. One outlet, Talkesport, says Game Pass Essential members are left out and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth isn't part of the deal. Essential members can play it only by buying it and then using cloud streaming.
- Intergrade includes the Yuffie side story. Per Talkesport, it bundles Episode INTERmission, a side story starring Yuffie Kisaragi.
Windows Central framed the move as a full-circle moment for Xbox. It noted the path from years of rumors, to the announced Xbox port, to the whole Remake trilogy reaching Xbox. The same Game Pass wave includes Terrible Lizards and Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted, per Tech-Insider, which is relaying the Xbox announcement.
Rebirth and Revelation: bought, not subscribed
The Xbox Store lists Final Fantasy VII Rebirth with a 6/3/2026 release date, and the tracker agrees. The store page lists these details:
- Price and platforms: It costs $49.99 and supports Xbox Series X|S, PC, Cloud and handheld.
- Features: It supports Xbox Play Anywhere, Xbox achievements and cloud saves.
- Save-data bonuses: Intergrade save data unlocks Leviathan materia for the main story and Ramuh materia for INTERmission.
- Cloud access: Cloud play needs a Game Pass tier plus a purchase.
The store also shows a Trilogy Edition at $84.99+ that includes Remake Intergrade, Rebirth and Revelation.
One date wrinkle: a pre-launch Xbox Wire roundup reportedly said Rebirth arrived June 2, while the store and tracker say June 3. For a store-facing date, the store listing is the safer source.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation is listed as unreleased, with an 8 April 2027 date. Final Weapon reports it launches on that date for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Final Weapon also notes save data from Intergrade and Rebirth unlocks bonuses, including Chocobo & Moogle and Phoenix summoning materia.
What the TrueAchievements catalog actually is
The page groups 32 achievement-bearing games under one Final Fantasy heading, with the tracker's own scoring. The stats are TrueAchievements' site numbers, not Microsoft or Square Enix figures. The page shows these columns per game:
| Column | What it is |
|---|---|
| TA score | The tracker's weighted points, not an official measure |
| Gamerscore | Xbox's achievement points; most entries are 1,000 |
| Achievements | The number of achievements in that game |
Examples from the list:
- Final Fantasy XIV has the largest Gamerscore at 4,815 and 246 achievements.
- Final Fantasy XV is at 2,310 Gamerscore and 97 achievements.
- Resonance has 1,000 Gamerscore and 40 achievements.
- Rebirth has 1,000 Gamerscore and 61 achievements.
- Remake Intergrade has 1,000 Gamerscore and 63 achievements.
The list also covers the Pixel Remaster entries, Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, Final Fantasy XVI, Stranger of Paradise, Crisis Core Reunion and remastered classics. It includes legacy variants too. Final Fantasy (WP) and Final Fantasy III (WP) are Windows Phone-era entries, and the XV Pocket Edition has a Windows version. Don't read these as a list of currently purchasable games or of games on Game Pass.
Practical guidance for Xbox and PC players
- Check the store page, not the tracker, for dates. The Resonance example shows how a community database can lag.
- Separate "playable" from "included." Cloud play with a purchase is not the same as a subscription catalog entry.
- Use Play Anywhere if you own both a console and a PC. Resonance and Rebirth both list it on their store pages, so a single purchase should cover both. Confirm it on the listing before buying.
- Mind the early-purchase window. Resonance's bonus pack ends on November 5.
- Buy Rebirth or the trilogy edition with the bundle in mind. Don't assume Rebirth is coming to Game Pass.
Bottom line
Xbox and PC players now have a deep Final Fantasy library. Resonance is out, Intergrade reaches Game Pass on October 29 on three of the four tiers, and Rebirth and Revelation remain separate purchases. The tracker's Resonance date, and its Game Pass framing, are the parts of the page to ignore.
