My version of Win 7 (premium) has a recommended screen resolution of 1280x1024
I find this rather small
What can I do to become bigger characters without losing screen visual quality

Have you tried the lower sizes? Maybe they will suit. 1176 x 664; 1024 x 768 or lower ?

Could you please fill in your computer specs in the UserCP link at the top left hand side of the page.

Especially the maje and model of your video card

Did you try right clicking on desktop then down at the bottom click display and change size I chose medium 125%
