Assume I have a file
D:\aaa\bbb\ccc\ddd.txt
Can this file inherit its owner from the wrapping folder?
Can folder ccc inherit its owner from the parent folder bbb?
Or is inheritance only applicable to access permissions and not to ownership?

Hi,
I'd to make my cmd open as an administrator by default. I know I can hit Win+X->'a', but I want to open the admin-cmd anywhere. Normally I open cmd in a folder either by:
1. Typing 'cmd' into Windows Explorer url bar [preferred method]
2. shift+right-click -> open cmd as administrator
So...

I've tried denying write permission in the Security tab, to the relevant user account, but still I am able to delete the file from that account. Any solutions?
my teenager son learned some tricks to log into Windows 10 without any password. He used the trick and installed and played games on my PC while I was at work. I can see the login in event viewer.
How can I secure my PC so he can't break in and mess up my system?
Thanks,
I got a "Do you trust this program" prompt while i was installing a program. Think of accepting it i just hit enter. But instead of accepting it i declined it. Now i have no idea to set it back so i can instal the program. I am on Windows 8.1.
Thanks in advance for you help and time.

I'm looking for a way to stop an Administrator account from setting up new users in Windows 10. I've gone through the group policy settings with a fine tooth comb, I think, and haven't found a way to do it. I've also searched technet, etc.
I can shut off access to the PC Settings functions...
Setting up a Win 10 PC for shares, videos, which will be used lightly. I would like to have it sleep, and not have to do a separate operation to wake it with a magic packet before accessing.
Is this possible?
Any suggestions appreciated.
i'm the only user with an account on my machine.
hence, the administrator.
still, i've been being bombarded with permission errors of every kind lately (most recently, while trying to install Python).
in researching, i've found i have no control of the Windows folder (when i should have full...
