Just had a strange thought about slang and how it can get folk into trouble.
Americans say " Can I bum a smoke ?"
Combine that with the English slang for a cigarette "FAG" and the potential for misunderstanding goes ballistic

December 7th, 1941.
Not many still left alive who remember first hand.
But 2400 Americans died that day and countless others wounded physically and spiritually.
Worth a moment or two of solemn remembrance.
