Windows Vista Vista SP1 Crash follow by Disk Boot Failure!

Windows Vista Vista UPGRADE: How do I get rid of dual-boot black startup screen?
The title says it all! I just upgraded from WinXP to Vista Premium UPGRADE. I thought I told the software to do a fresh install rather than saving any former settings.
