Windows 7 Argh, how do I fix ownership for Program Files?
Hi! I was tired of not being able to save files in Program Files without starting the program [that saved files] manually as administrator. So I ran the command attrib -R "C:\program files" in the command prompt, and now Windows 7 seems to have reverted to some kind of default protection mode...- MatsVed

Windows 7 All files, read-only, help!

Im having some problems with the read-only attribute, I recently changed my HDD and I went from IDE to SATA, I moved all my info from one disk to the other, I installed Win7 and all seemed to work fine.. Windows 7 READ ONLY problems
I find it ironic that I've encountered a problem that I've never seen before in any WIndows OS, but have encountered in almost every single Unix-based operating system I've ever used.
