how can i change the icon + name of the program from where located all the installed programs at windows 7 64 bit at the control panel.
I got some apps i need to change their icons & the names to something else

I want to change the icon for a program. I know I can right-click > properties > change icon > browse. But then, where to browse to select the win7 icon?
(I want to make cubicexplorer use a win7 yellow folder-icon)

so i'm trying to change the icon of a particular file type.
ie, pdf icon is gone for some reason so i want to put one there.
all i can find on the net is 'open up file types manager' BUT how on earth is that done?
am using win7 x64 home premium.

When I rebooted my computer this AM a number of icons on the desktop had been replaced with the windows default icon used when Windows can't find the icon specified.
Also, I could not access a number of root folders and the programs in them would not run from system calls as in the startup...
On Vista I have a shortcut on the desktop to a DOS Program. The program runs all right. However, I can't change the icon's
