The change from Windows 10 to Windows 11 has left many users feeling disconcerted, especially when it comes to the right-click context menu. Formerly a reliable tool for quick access to a plethora of options, the new context menu design has raised eyebrows and complaints alike. If you’ve found...
Tried a after-market classic start menu, but didn't like it.

Hello,
I have recently updated to the spring update in windows 8.1. I thought that they would include the classic start menu feature in this update. wasn't it so? Is there any way to set it without any third party application?
Bests,
Tamás

Well i did the Upgrade from Vista Ultimate to Win 7 Ultimate and have to say i'm a bit irritated with it.
Maybe i should have installed from scratch but rebuilding my system from scratch takes a week. I have piles of dev apps with piles of configurations, so i was hoping an upgrade would go...

Just installed CSMenu 0.9 with Start Killer. I wanted to know if there is anyway to map the Windows Key on the keyboard (in between the Ctrl and Alt keys) to bring up the classic start menu (CSMenu) when the button is pressed?
Recently upgraded to windows 7 and in many ways I like it a lot. I went right from xp to 7 so maybe the downsides I have are holdovers from that stepchild. Dual screening in 7 is horrible. Many of my applications that I used to run spread across both screens or nearly across both screens fail to...

Is it possible?
I'm sick of pressing it and having to select Task Manager and I usually always used my arrow keys I don't want this fancy pants Windows 7 screen.
Also the Welcome screen can it be disabled so it goes from my POST loading screens to my desktop?
I know these problems are...
Application launcher CSMenu makes up for the lack of a classic start menu option in 7 by creating a menu that looks and works just like the ancient Windows 2000 menu did.

Is there a way to make it so when I click on the Shutdown button I get the Dialog box like the old classic menu used to do? I have accidently hit that stupid shutdown button to many times (which is actually a lock button now instead of shutdown). I know alt+f4 will bring up the box, but I'm so...

Using Classic Start Menu
When I click Start/Documents the expanded list shows my document folders. But recently "(Empty)" is listed six or seven times on the list below my folders. Never seen it before. Want to get rid of it. Any ideas?
I prefer to only use it to keep track of running programs. My monitor is pretty small (17 inch 1024x768). If I use it to launch programs there won't be room for that plus any miscellaneous programs that I might use.
I set it up to do Quick Launch instead and Now I like it. Windows 7 really is...
