    Windows 7 registry access denied

    how do I get control of the registry using regedit to make changes. It keeps telling me access is denied. i am its administrator. I am the only user. I want to make a change in this folder. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CommandStore\shell\Windows.newfolder
