I already have a home laptop, and it's sure to stay home even though I know it's meant to be portable, but I want it to be...

At the D9 conference today, Steve Sinofsky, President of Windows and Windows Live at Microsoft, gave the first look at the next version of Windows, currently " codenamed " Windows 8. On display was the new touch user interface: an interface designed for tablets and touch computers. For the first...
at work we use mac address filtering to keep other employees from connecting their personal computers to our LAN (we monitor work computers). We have maxed out our router so we are looking to buy a switch to add a couple of e-net ports. If our new switch doesn't have its own mac filtering...
For most people around the country school has either just let out or still has a little while to go before getting out. That makes the new back-to-school offer from Microsoft a little pre-mature perhaps, but it is an interesting offer. Microsoft is offering students buying a new Windows 7...
A slide-out tablet running on Windows 7, you say? Not to be confused with the Samsung Sliding PC , what we have here is the Fujitsu LifeBook TH40/D that's just been announced for the Japanese market. Inside this 2.4-pound convertible laptop you'll find a 1.5GHz Oak Trail Atom Z670 , 1GB of...
