I have an HP Pavilion dv6-2157sb running Windows 7 Ultimate SP1, 64-bit OS. I bought it in the summer of 2010 for law school.
The laptop has served me faithfully through law school.
After almost three years, however, it began booting up with the time being incorrect.
Commonly, the time stamp...

When "search" presents hundreds of results, how does one reorder them? For instance, I'd like them in alpha order, or by date. Right now I have no idea how they are default ordered.

Fixes an issue in which you cannot change the time and date after you install KB 2657025 on a Windows 7-based or Windows Server 2008 R2-based computer. This issue occurs when the time zone is set to Samoa (UTC+13:00).

The latest rumor flying around today seems to indicate that February 26th will be the release date for the Windows 8 Beta. The fact that, that is on a Sunday is a little peculiar but does fit with most of the other earlier rumors regarding late Februrary as being the general release time frame...
Hi Guys n Gals,
I bought myself a new CPU, MB and Memory and had to reinstall Windows. When I put the date in I put the month and day in the wrong way arround, but it was still an acceptible date as far as the pc was to know. (09/10/2011 instead of 10/09/2011)
After I corrected this it has...
Hi,
Is there an easy way to sort files/folders using multiple criteria--say by
size, date and folder for instance? A free utility perhaps?
and/or
An easy way to capture the data in Wins' file explorer (view=detail) that I
can bring into EXCEL?
Thanks,
Rusty
In the toolbar on the right I got the time and date. When I click on it I see a clock and calender. I would like to add the week number there too.
How to add the weeknumber to the date/clock?
I get a date time exception while calculating time difference between two dates in C# code.
This occours only with 32 bit Windows 7.
Could anyone help me with this ..
return printDate.ToString("MM/dd/yyyy HH:mm:ss");
I posted this matter in another section, but only Google search was mentioned. XP had a very useful search utility where you can specify date and size ranges etc. This CAN be done in 7, but is much less user friendly. Is there an app for this, besides Google Desktop Search ?
Thanks, Errol
When I first installed Windows 7 I saw the date above my little clock on the bottom right but after installing a load of updates the date is no longer visible there. I now need to click the time to see the date.
Is there a way to get this date visibillity back?
Regards,
Wolf
I was wondering since I use Macrium reflect to keep a full backup image, I name them as Backup- MM/date/YYYY. I was wodering if I could go to folder location and rename one as Backup-MM/dd/YYYY-Pre sp1 without it effecting the installation of the backup if needed.
When I create a file in Windows 7 and save it I get the current date and time stamp but when I edit the program at a later time and date and save again it doesn't change the date and time stamp it stays the same as the original file! I feel like a moron but how can I change this?
Everything is gone, my background, the Start button, date time in the right hand corner, the entire task bar at the bottom of the screen. I have uninstalled the AVG update and restored to just prior to the update but everything is still gone.

Hi folks,
How to change the date to an old day/a future day temporarily? The system clock always changes it back to the date of today. TIA

Quick question to find out what "Date" represents in Windows 7 Explorer.
Its clearly NOT "Date Modified" "Date Created" or "Date Accessed"
Just would like to know what it is. For me, Date Modified makes most sense for use in Explorer and I'll
probably use that instead.

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but my problem does relate to installing things on Windows 7 so thought this was the best place to post my query.
