dim

Before reinstalling windows, my laptop's monitor would turnoff whenever I set the brightness to 0. Now with a clean install of windows, 0 brightness is just very dim. I would like to know if there is a way to get this feature back, as it was very useful. Any help would be appreciated.

I dimmed my screen as much as possible. however, its still too bright for me. is there a way/program to dim it even more? help would be appreciated!

I have a strange screen problem with default UAC settings (and it often appears, to a lesser degree, during boot) Black (or white) streaks, missing or broken lines when the desktop is dimmed to show a system message. If, in UAC, I choose "Don't Dim Desktop"... the problem goes away when...
