Hey out there. My parents Windows XP computer crashed about a week ago. Does anyone know if I can copy the Windows folder from my XP Virtual machine to a recordable DVD and then boot a computer from that DVD?
Thanks.

So i bought my copy of windows 7 with the students special for $30 at the beginning of the year. The thing is about that special is that there was no physical copy given to me; it was all downloads and ISO files. I am now needing to format my hard drive due to bugs and overall slowness and was...
Hi, I saw this title in the Vista install section, but there didn't seem to be any solution, so I'm asking again here.
I'm attempting to install Windows 7 64-bit dual booting with XP 32-bit. XP is on its own partition, and I'm installing Windows 7 on a separate hard-drive anyway, so that won't...

My Windows7 PC (64bit) has become infected with trojans/viruses and I need to do a full re-install from scratch. But when I try to boot off the CD/DVD drive it keeps (eventually) going to my hard disk and booting from there. How do I FORCE it to boot from the DVD? I have tried hitting F10...

My computer occasionally bluescreens with nvlddmkm.sys (nvidia graphics driver) when I boot on windows 7, but this time it somehow corrupted the hard drive, and it wouldn't boot. Even when I tried to boot on XP it would bluescreen with NTFS.sys as soon as the login screen should appear (never...

Hi guys
I tried making a Bootable DVD from the 7048 build and then do a Clean install -- this fails with "A citical file couldn't be loaded" -- I KNOW my DVD is genuine so I assume that it's probably something with the way I was trying to create the BOOT record.
I stripped the boot record off...
Yep, it leaked yesterday, not as an iso, but as the files ripped from the DVD. However, some people out there have taken it upon themselves to make a bootable DVD. There are both torrents and Rapidshare links available. Have fun guys
I have installed Win7 x64 several days ago and it worked very fine, but jesterday i did not "shutdown" my pc, but tried to send it to "sleep" instead. Damn! It is totally broken-down! When i first tried to start after this, i choose the "start normal" option", all i got was a black screen, so i...
I'm really enjoying Windows 7 but a lot of my key programs don't work so I've decided to switch back to XP using my recovery partition. Prior to this installation I had an option at boot that would tell me to press F11 (I think) to start the recovery console.
That option is now gone. However...
