I am facing problem in ejecting my sony mp3 player from my laptop.
n it does not show as USB drive when I connect the player on USB ports. But it shows the sony player icon . right click on it does not show eject option.

I cannot LEFT or RICHT click, the Safely remove usb devices tray icon.
So its there allright, if i hover over the tray icon with the mouse, it even shows me a pop-up "Safely remove usb devices"

I'd like to know how to really shut down a USB peripherial when I press eject. When you do this on Windows XP, your hardrive for instance will power down, whereas it stays on with Windows Seven, despite the safety message "the device can now be safely removed"
