I have an exe I wrote which works fine on 32 bit OSes. However my users who run 64 bit windows 7 tell me that it's only able to read files under the directory where the exe is installed. If they use the exe to read a file anywhere else on the file system is throws an error.
I am assuming this...

1. Right click...

Hi Everyone,
I'm having a bit of a problem that I seem to be completely alone on. There is an executable called "YourGame.exe" that is created on my desktop every time I open the games panel in the Windows 7 start menu. It is 0 bytes so it is nothing huge, but it is extremely weird. I just...

I was going to hex edit an *.exe-file and I accidentally associated all *.exes to open up in the hex-editor. Now I can't start any applications in that user profile. I know I could do a system restore or just backup the files and delete the account to solve the problem but that would cause some...

I just installed the telnet client and it works from a cmd shell but any other shell (eg tcc) gives "unknown command" and can't see telnet.exe in system32. I tried copying the telnet.exe to another directory but that just hung!
Any ideas?
I finally started using my '03 outlook program, and tried to click a web link, nothing happened. Decided that there was no default browser set up. So I tried to change browser to Firefox. It gave me a window to find an executable, however when I navigated to the FF folder in program files, there...
Hi everyone, I wasn't sure where else to put this, if it's in the wrong section please if there's any mod out there you can change it to where it might belong to.

I all of a sudden had a problem with a certain game and a...

For some reason, anytime I drop a file on the desktop with a .exe extension, I can no longer delete that file from the desktop. Actually...I can delete it, but as soon as I hit F5 or e.g. log off and back on, the file simply reappears. I can only delete a .exe file permanently in Safe Mode. I do...
