Good day,
I am an ECM Consultant for Datacentrix in South Africa. I have a migration-related question. I hope you can assist.
The issue is this:
1. The source system is a Windows shared drive
2. The target system is a document management solution
3. In the source system, the file names are very...

Now, I want to return it to it's original version then upgrade to 1507 or 1511 Build (Cuz one of them was the installed version in my previous hard drive).
I want this because a problem with files names...
So I guess this is probably not the right place for this, but frankly I don't know where to look! I'm trying to get a list of folder contents (preferably including sub folders), so literally just the file names, exported as a text file or csv, or something that I can manipulate the data with...

How do I delete all files except for those who has the [!] in their file names?
EDIT:
Found a workaround. It's a free program called Bulk File Manager v1.6.
Is it possible to rename only part of a filename when multiple files are selected in Windows Explorer?
I sometimes have hundreds of files to rename and I have to do them individually.
I installed the anniversary update and I have problem now.

My office pals are constantly creating lenghy file names and folders that surpass windows limits, which is causing problems when I perform or restore backups. Is there a way to just stop windows from letting a user write or copy a file which exceeds the limits imposed by the OS itself?. I´ve...

When I turn on the feature, "Always search file names and contents" my C drive completely fills all available disk space after doing a search. What's going on and how do I remedy this?
I am using WIN 7 Ultimate and have a folder (FOLDER-A) containing about 160 .HTM documents and their corresponding FILES folders from documents I have downloaded from the internet.

Just upgraded to Windows 8 and I'm having an issue I never had in Windows 7. Whenever somebody sends me an archive (.zip, .rar, etc.) that contains file names that are in Japanese, they always appear garbled (文字化け).
1. I am using Outlook 2010
2. This happens through both WinRAR and Windows'...
UPDATE
Problem SOLVED...I dicovered that it was temporary internet files which were too long. Not that that fixed my problem, I was still unable to access my copied files in the new account I created, kept giving me an access denied message.
So I decided to just do a system restore instead...
