About this tag
The fluent design tag on WindowsForum.com covers Microsoft's Fluent Design language as it appears across Windows 11, Windows 10, and community-made concepts. Discussions range from official UI refinements, like rounded focus outlines on the sign-in screen and File Explorer polish, to third-party apps such as FluentTaskScheduler and Screenbox that adopt Fluent principles. The tag also includes design concept threads, like a Windows 7 remaster and a Windows Phone-inspired Android interface, which are not Microsoft products. Recurring themes include visual modernization, legacy UI coexistence, and the balance between aesthetics and functionality in Windows.
