About this tag
Gears of War: E-Day is an upcoming Unreal Engine 5 shooter from The Coalition, launching on October 6, 2026, for Windows PC and Xbox Series X|S. The published PC requirements specify Windows 10 22H2 or later, 12-16 GB of RAM, an RTX 2060 or Radeon RX 6600-class GPU, and 130 GB of SSD storage. The game will be available on Steam and via Xbox Game Pass on day one. Discussions on WindowsForum highlight that these specs mark a shift away from older GTX-era hardware, emphasizing DirectX 12 Ultimate and SSD storage as the new baseline for AAA PC gaming. The requirements are seen as a realistic floor for modern blockbuster rendering, with the game serving as a test case for disciplined Unreal Engine 5 optimization.
