I want to lock one computer out of our home LAN - yet let it still access the wifi so's it can get the internet.
How can I do that?
The purpose is to avoid any contamination it might pick up being spread across the LAN.
Three Windows computers on the LAN. Internet upgrade requiring new router. All three have Internet access, two can talk to each other but the third can't see the two and they can't see it. Any ideas?
Many times people may have both their wireless NIC and wired NIC connected at the same time. This can create a bridge and cause your network performance to degrade. Here is a powershell script that could be setup as a scheduled task to run at start up. What it does it detect if the wired nic...

I always get a bit confused when configuring or setting up a LAN on XP. Maybe on win7, too.
My confusion arises because there's apparently two LANs but the computer never talks about this, never puts it that way.
There's the wireless network. That's a Lan, surely?
And there's the Microsoft...
Only W10 box on my LAN which is very well secured.
OrganizationWHAT!?
See attached image.
What does this, to my mind, Active Directory, looking message mean and what is it trying to tell me?
Wonder if it could be related to my "One Drive-ing me crazy" issues (my other thread below).
Thanks.

The first three days of Win10 were good, then an update and a reboot and windows 7 can no longer access shared files on the Win10 machine. Files that were shared somehow magically come up as shared even though they have not been shared this time or may NOT even be mounted.
Not that it matters...
