As of this month Microsoft has stopped supporting metadata for Windows media player on Windows 7 so can anyone confirm whether Windows 10 Windows media player still supports metadata this is CD information but names albums tracks artists etc

Windows media player no longer supports meta data/album information on Windows 7 as of June 7. So I upgraded to Windows 8 and it still don't work? Anyone confirm whether wmp meta data still working on 8?
