My DB is xp/win 7 and I have had this thing dual booted for a while..mostly successful. There has been however one really annoying problem. Windows 7 recognizies areas of the xp boot disc.

For those testing XP and different versions of Win7, this is a useful tool:
Easy BCD 1.7.2
Download EasyBCD 1.7.2 - NeoSmart Technologies
The iReboot option is pretty slick.

Cheers

Holy confusion. Would this even be possible to try? Basically, I have Vista x64 and XP partitioned dual setup that I use right now. I would like to also add Win7 beta and Ubuntu on a different HD and still be able to switch between all of them without having to reinstall Vista. Here is a...
I did a clean install of W7 on a completely separate drive with my XP system drives disconnected.
Can I modify the boot.ini on my XP system to implement a dual boot???????
What do I have to do on the W7 drive???

Windows 7 includes its own pretty little recovery partition, which uses a non-standard format (UGGH!). I'd like to remove it from my laptop multiboot system. Anyone know if this will cause problems? I use GRUB as my bootloader.
