Windows 7's clock along with its time zone settings looks basically the same as it did in previous versions of the Windows Taskbar Notification area.

Hi,
Does anyone know how to decipher the entries in TrayNotify area of the registry?

Is there a way I can change the Show Hidden Icons thing back to the previous style, where it expanded to the right instead of opening a box above the taskbar?
This is really quite odd.
I cannot get my Volume Control slider in the notification area. When I try to restore
it using 'Turn system icons on or off', the volume control is greyed out as No.
(Customize system icons says the volume control is not active?!)
I have full control of the sound...

There are icons in the notification area that I never need to see: Numbers Lock, Scroll Lock, Caps Lock. I know that I can hide them. I have set them to "hide" in "Customize Notification Icons". But what I would like to do is get rid of the icons permanently. Is this possible?
