Over the past week, there have been many rumors surrounding RTM.
We are close, but have not yet signed off on Windows 7. When we RTM you will most certainly hear it here. As we’ve said all along, we will RTM Windows 7 when it’s ready. As previously stated, we expect Windows 7 to RTM in the...
So your looking forward for 7 to go gold and plan on starting with a clean slate? Dont forget to back up your browser settings. Heres a tool to make it easy.
Portable backup utility FavBackup archives your settings, bookmarks, passwords, and more from any of the major browsers.

With perhaps a sub-build still coming, I content 7600 is RTM. Here is my thinking....
1) WINVER shows no expiration date.... all previous builds have had an expiration date.
2) No watermark. All previous builds have had a watermark.
3) Previous RC serials don't work (although 7264 also fits...
Windows 7 RTM Update: Roadmap Possibly Altered
KezNews forum, 10.7.2009
Initially, we reported that the RTM build was going to be officially signed off and announced on July 13th. At the time, Windows 7 was proceeding on schedule and several internal sources in Microsoft both close to us and...

Fed up with Internet Explorer??? You can get the European Build from you know who (notice the 7.E.BUILD??)
MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.7.E.BUILD.7264.WIN7_RTM.X64.ENGLISH.DVD-VINYLZINE
6.1.7268.0.win7_rtm.090701-1900 - NEW candidate in RTM branch build.
Posted by you know who..... (at one point this was listed as a bogus build but the numbers caught up with it)
Part one of my plan is to install Vista could be XP but I like Vista ;)
Part two wait for the RTM windows 7.
Part Three keep quite about any more plans . :D
Just speculation, but with 7264 we now have a "new animal" that will not accept RC keys. COULD IT BE that the keys it will accept are those for RTM? If so, upgrading from 7260 (and previous RC builds) could verify that RC can upgrade to RTM. My 7260 upgraded fine to 7264 although I had the...
Back in May of this year, I posed the following question in this thread...
When MS finally release Windows7 RTM...
....I would dearly love them to offer the OS for Home use to be licensed to 3 machines from one Disk; it would probably be the best way of encouraging the uptake to Win7, given...
So the RTM soon will be signed off for windows 7. But what will the build number be. Will it stay at whatever is chosen so like 726x or will it go up. As i heard lots of people saying that the build decieded for the RTM will go to 7300 or 7500. Is this true?
I know that you cannot upgrade from the RC to the RTM and you have to do a clean install (unless you edit the .iso) and I am willing to do a clean install and reinstall all of my programs. My question is that since Microsoft is releasing both upgrade (Link Removed) and full versions (Link...
