I try to add a second internal SATA 6 hard drive to my computer. On restart, Windows 8 gives a message "Preparing for Repair" and after few seconds it restarts computer and again the same message and continues to restart.
This SATA was already working smoothly with Windows 7 and Windows 8 RP...

I’m adding a 10x Internal Blu-ray Disc Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive to my computer. Is there a preferred socket I should connect the SATA cable to on the mother board or can I use any empty socket?

I wanted to make Windows 7 recognize my second hard drive. Following online instructions I went to
control panel --> computer management --> storage.
when the window opened it asked me what filetype the drive is. I accdentally/stupidly clicked CDFS.
now storage manager sees the disk, but...

I am currently on Vista which is on C: drive, and I want to install Windows 7 on F: drive.
How can I do that?

How can we change the personal folder to be located in the second drive? I know you can go in there and change individual folders, but I always ad folders . I just want to put things in there and have them go to the hard drive! Microsoft should have known to allow this! Easily!
