I'm running Windows 7 on a system with two hard drives. I have the OS and applications installed on one drive (SSD) and moved my user folder (documents, pictures, etc) onto a second hard drive. Well, that second hard drive died on me, so I have to replace it. My question: how should I go about...
I installed Windows 7 Ultimate on a newly formatted scsi drive that carried designator "D"(the existing "C" was a smaller SCSI that I wanted to get rid of) I removed the old "C" drive and installed another new scsi(identical to the new boot drive). The second drive was recognized but did not get...
Hi, I have 2 -500 gig hard drives, first and the original is a Vista 32 Ultimate, the second is
Win 7pro 64 bit. I love the 64 bit win 7:D. The vista is too slow and takes forever to load:(.
What I would like to do is create a RAID 1 setup where as the the two HDDs will be mirrored in case of...

Ok,
So I put together a new HTPC and purchased 4 2TB drives which gave me a total of 6 TB after setting them up as RAID 5. I created two volumes from that RAID, one is 2 TB and the other is 4TB.
Windows 7 is currently installed on the 2TB volume, though it only occupies about 17Gb.
I...

Hi!
I've got a ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 card and a fresh install of Win 7. I've got four 1Tb disks, one with the OS-install and three disks set to RAID 5. I just set BIOS to "use SATA disks as RAID", installed Win 7 on the first disk and then used the software that comes with the motherboard (Ctrl+I...

Hi guys,
I have a two bay BP-ESATA232UESR ( Link Removed due to 404 Error ) that I threw two 1.5TB Seagate 7200.11 drives into it. I configured the DIP switches for RAID-1 and the SteelVine software reported that it built the raid correctly. I should have a ~1.3TB volume in the disk...
I recently installed Windows 7 with 2 x 1 TB hard drives so that I could mirror them with raid 1. When I checked disk management I saw that both HD's were formatted as basic disks but need to be dynamic disks to mirror. I converted both the primary and secondary HD's to dynamic through DOS...
So, I'm completely out of disc space on my C: drive. It's a 40GB IDE drive. To compensate, I've installed a 110GB SATA drive, which my computer recognizes as drive E:.
I'm trying to stripe these drives (Or get Windows to freely write data across both of them as if they were a single drive.)...
Moving Pagefile
I put Windows 7 64 bit on a SSD drive with the intention of moving my swapfile to my conventional D Drive. Seems that I no longer have that option. No drives show up in the drive box so I assume that it's either the C drive or nothing. Am I Correct? Thanks. Leon
Guys.... Sorry...
