The update downloads, and installs to the restart required.
Restart first displays the "working on updates" blue-screen, but at 6% progress, commences to close and reboot. (Normally this reaches the 30% progress point??)...

I sometimes watch videos like deleting the program files folder, setting date to crazy big values and breaking win 11/10 every other possible way. In many cases modern windows starts slowly transforming into win 7/XP. Like alt-tab menu from XP, task manager from 7 and other weird things
I wonder...

I've made a mistake on a cpu that has both windows 10 and 7 in different partitions.
I was moving files between partitions and ended up moving windows operation system's files. Now I can't startup neither with windows 10 or 7
Is there a way to chose with windows to startup by using the dos system?

I cannot open PDF files in Foxit Reader because of apparently a problem with file ODBC32.dll in the Windows System folder, error 0xc000012f. I tried uninstalling and re-installing the program but the same result. I tried installing Adobe Acrobat Reader but it will not install. I thought I could...
I have all my files on an external disc, D. I only use C for system files. I have activated ”Säkerhetskopia” , I guess ”Backup” in English. Säkerhetskopia is ordered to backup on another external disc, G. The size of D is 377 GB. The size of the backup on G is 1,67 TB, and rapidly increasing...
Hi, when I make a recovery drive on usb on my desktop it is 16GB in size.
When I make a recovery drive on usb for a Lenovo laptop the drive is only 524MB in size.
Both are for the same latest version of Windows 10 and I clicked copy system files in both cases.
How would the Lenovo recovery of...

Just like in the title. I have my Windows 10 installed on the SSD, but when I unplug HDD I can't run the computer. On top of that, in the boot menu I need to have HDD as the first boot option, because if not, the system just doesn't find the OS. And yes, I can find the system files on my SSD.
-SP1 has no entries anywhere, so can't be uninstalled
-can't reinstall SP1 again
Can I just remove a file or a registry key to make it think i don't have it (so that it overwrites existing files)?
Much to my surprise I found some folders (e.g.
D:\System Volume Information\{d8216247-eb56-11e9-87e1-005056c00008}{3809876b-c176-4e48-b7ae-05046e6cc752}

I don't usually mess with the registry but occasionally manually edit to make small changes. Anyhow, I was doing a search for a particular key and I came across what appears to be references to drives and folders/files that do not exist on my computer. There are a lot of them actually spread...

So I decided to do some cleaning in my PC. But one thing that has been bothering me a long time and was afraid to delete them, are some folders with long names containing random numbers and letters on my Local Disk. Examples:

Can I delete Windows10Upgrade folder? I am looking for stuff to delete, so I can have more space. This folder is 3.26GB. I don't think it does anything other than taking space.
I cannot reset my computer as the attempt always fails. I believe I am missing some system files. The restore application also fails. Windows 10 was upgraded from Windows 8 via download. So I do not have the registration key or whatever. So what solutions are available before taking it in for...
