Hi,
Can someone explain this to me.
(1)
When I go to "Control Panel -> User Accounts". There is only one account "User / Administrator".
Yet when I create a folder and look at the Security tab (in folder properties), there is a list of different users:
Administrators
SYSTEM
Users...
access control
control panel
file permissions
folder ownership
permissions management
security settings
system administrators

I have a Windows 8x64, Build 9200 system. There are two users: Administrator (me) and Joe. Joe has a password, and I want to remove his password. I logged on as Admin and can't find the option (Control Panel\Users) to remove another user's password, as I could in Windows 7. Thanks!
As I noted in an earlier post, this computer was a used gift from my son. Now I would like to take him off the computer (as main user) and place myself in that position. In the image below, he is listed as "Shawn" and I would like to place myself in this position. Admin, etc., removing him from...
In the past I setup a network share for a local folder by
right-clicking on that folder in WinExp
click "Properties"
click "Sharing" tab
click "Advanced Sharing"
activate checkbox "Share this folder"
assigning my user account to the list of permissions
removing "Everyone" access.
This works...

I am a new Win 8 user. I set up 2 user accounts. The first one works fine. The second user indicated that it is connected to the Internet. I can ping Yahoo! and it pings fine. Both users have administrative rights. When I open Internet explorer it will not connect.
Any suggestions?
