hello friends. i am here out of desperation. and maybe a tiny flicker of hope. my old ssd had a SMART failure (which i didn't even know was a thing). i bought a new ssd and installed it myself (a miraculous event - i don't mess with innards) and everything has been great. except my favourite pasttime, playing The Sims is no longer possible. I don't understand why the game won't work. It crashes every time? It's not on an external/cloud drive. There is no custom content. I keep uninstalling/reinstalling/repairing/refreshing to no avail. I tried asking the official Sims/EA people but that was last week and no one will talk to me!? I'm hoping someone can help me understand and resolve the compliance...compatability....(?) errors I grabbed from the official thing from /run.
