Windows 7 2 days ago bsod when windows update

So i updated my computer 2 days ago and it kept bringing me bsod's.
I then returned my computer to a save point 2 days ago. What went wrong?

Hi,
It could be that whatever the update was for the download was either corrupted or created some instability within the system. When Windows has a blue screen event the details can be captured on what's called a Dump file. To make sure your system is producing dump files when blue screening ensure your settings are like this:

Go to Start and type in sysdm.cpl and press Enter
Click on the Advanced tab
Click on the Startup and Recovery Settings button
Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked
Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box
Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump << where your .dmp files can be
found later.
Click and apply to exit...
