Windows 7 3B and 1E

Ive been having these BSOD problems for the past few days. Its changed from 3B to 1E. Hopefully ive attached whats needed to get some help. I updated what i thought needed updating but still getting the blue screen. i also just applied a new coating of thermal compound. today has been pretty smooth but still wanted to get some input from you guys. thanks in advance!

You're missing the systeminfo.txt report. Please rerun the collection app again and let it finish (you'll know this when it tells you to zip up the folder and to upload it).

There is an issue with a PS2 Mouse. If you're using a USB mouse, this is safe to ignore.

Please un-install the wireless XBox controller and physically remove it from your system. This is the most likely cause of the BSOD and there are no updated drivers available for it.

Also, please update your nVidia storage controller drivers. This may help to improve system stability.

Please un-install Hamachi/LogMeIn as the drivers date from 2009 also.

I just bought the wireless xbox controller maybe a month ago. Its worked fine with no problems. Why would it just now start to cause problems? I really would hate to have wasted 60 bucks on it. Also idk how to update the nvidia chipset you are talking about. i clicked your links and they just took me to a blank page. thanks for the help! next post will have updated files hopefully

UPDATED SYSTEM FILES

Thanks for the reports - not much else of note in the systeminfo report tho'.

We started seeing problems with the wireless XBox controllers a couple of months ago. What I suspect is that the driver for it wasn't designed to be compatible with some recently released Windows Updates. But the test for this is simply to uninstall the software for it and remove the controller temporarily. Then, if the BSOD's stop, you'll know that it (the controller) is the cause. If it's not the cause, wait until we've stopped the BSOD's and then reinstall it.

Here's a link for the storage drivers for your system: NVIDIA DRIVERS 15.49WHQL
Just download it and double click on it to install it. Please note that the drivers aren't being updated by nVidia - so if there's a problem within the drivers there won't be any way to fix it.

last night got 4 crashes in an hour, a, 1e, a, 7e. then was good for about 4 hours then crashed and got 1e again. used slim drivers to update my drivers, deleted the xbox controller and logmein. heres new files.

Numerous different crashes are usually symptomatic of:
- borked (broken) hardware (several different procedures used to isolate the problem device)
- overclocking - You'll know if you're overclocking or not. If uncertain we can suggest things to check.
- compatibility issues (3rd party hardware/drivers)
- low-level driver problems
- or even malware (scanned for when we ask for hardware diagnostics from Link Removed - Invalid URL or Link Removed - Invalid URL ).

In this case, all the causes are due to memory corruption. I'd first suggest running this free memory test: Link Removed - Invalid URL If it completes without error, then try the rest of the free tests at this link: Link Removed - Invalid URL

Please post back if you don't find any broken hardware - as this seems to be a hardware problem.

ran the memory test and everything came back fine(just maxed my computers memory about 6 weeks ago) im starting to think its an overheating problem because now it work fine for long periods then bsod pops up. yesterday it worked for about 9ish hours then i got he bsod(1e). i did just apply thermal compound though so im running out of ideas here. i also ran the microsoft security essentials without it finding anything. checking temps now will post back if anything is stands out

Temps don't look bad to me - most are around 40ºC with the GPU around 47ºC
Did you see anything different (I'm not all that familiar with the text file).

But temp monitors don't tell the complete story.

Also, if this is a desktop, open the side of the case and point a house fan into it on High. See if that makes it last longer between BSOD's. If it does, then you have to wonder about an overheating problem.

is it dumb to just re install windows? i figured it couldnt hurt then that way ill get a pretty definite answer on whether its hardware or software problems.

Well since i said i was gonna do a complete install it worked just fine since then until last night i got another BSOD with the same 1e code. idk what else to do, but its really trying on my patience. grrrrrr

If you followed the "clean" install process - then the next step is to test hardware.

Although your BIOS dates from 2011, it's advisable to check and see if there are any updates available (see the Usual Causes section of this link: Link Removed ) Be careful updating the BIOS as mistakes can damage your hardware.
