HoYoverse will bring Zenless Zone Zero to the Xbox PC storefront on July 29, alongside Version 3.1, “The Long Goodbye.” The free-to-play action RPG is already available on Windows through HoYoverse’s launcher, Steam, and the Epic Games Store; this release adds Microsoft’s PC ecosystem and Xbox Play Anywhere support.
As reported by Gematsu from HoYoverse’s announcement, the July 29 update coincides with the game’s second anniversary and will launch across supported platforms. For Windows players, the practical change is another official installation and account path, rather than a new PC version or a content delay behind Xbox.

The Xbox PC release is intended to link the console and Windows experience under the Xbox ecosystem. Existing players should still use the same HoYoverse account when linking platforms if they want to retain their progress, characters, and purchases. HoYoverse has supported cross-progression across its PC, mobile, PlayStation, and Xbox versions, so the Microsoft Store build should be chiefly useful for players who prefer the Xbox app, Xbox achievements, or play across an Xbox console and PC.
This is not the game’s first Xbox appearance. Zenless Zone Zero launched on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Cloud Gaming in June 2025. The July 29 release specifically fills in the missing Xbox-on-Windows storefront option.

Version 3.1 content

“The Long Goodbye” introduces two top-tier playable Agents: Remielle Dan, an S-Rank Anomaly character and the game’s first Lumiflux-attribute Agent, plus Sigrid, an S-Rank Ice Attack Agent. HoYoverse says Remielle’s mechanic can align her damage type with the next member of the active team, making team composition more consequential than for conventional fixed-attribute characters.
The update also adds a permanent mode, Enigma of the Labyrinth: Operation Bagel, built around timed expeditions, loot extraction, and upgrades for a research station. System changes include a Custom Search option for selecting preferred S-Rank Agents in the game’s randomized character-search system, along with revised newcomer guidance and faster progression from Inter-Knot levels 20 through 50.

Anniversary rewards

HoYoverse says Version 3.1 will let players choose one of five limited S-Rank Agents—Jane, Soldier 0 – Anby, Hugo, Trigger, or Lucia—and receive that character’s corresponding exclusive W-Engine weapon. The update also includes 1,600 Polychromes through login rewards and 20 total signal searches through its reward events.
Windows players who want the Xbox-integrated build will be able to install it from the Microsoft Store beginning July 29, when Version 3.1 goes live.
