I wonder if there is a solution to a problem i have? Okay here's the scenario. i have Vista Business and i have 2 user accounts.
one is the builtin Administrator account which i use for maintenance and, the other is my account on the Corporate domain.
when i start up Vista i get to boxes displayed ones has the 'domain name\user account name' displayed. the other has 'other' displayed below the boxes.
i have a fingerprint reader programmed with different fingers to sign on to the accounts.
However, whenever i am off the Domain and need to get onto the Administrator Account i must enter the whole 'local machine name\Administrator' or vice-eversa when i want to connect to the domain. is there anyway i get both boxes to dispaly the account name and log on automatically to the one corresponding to the finger i used on the fingerprint reader???

To streamline the login process on your Windows Vista Business system with two user accounts (one being the built-in Administrator account and the other on the Corporate domain), along with the use of a fingerprint reader, you can consider configuring automatic login based on the fingerprint used. Here's a potential solution to achieve this: 1. Automate Login Process: You can use a utility like "BioLogon" to automate the login process based on fingerprint recognition. BioLogon can help in logging in automatically by recognizing the fingerprint and selecting the appropriate user account to log in. 2. Setting up BioLogon: - Download and install BioLogon on your Vista system. - Configure BioLogon to recognize your different fingers for the respective accounts. - Set up the rules within BioLogon to select the correct user account based on the recognized fingerprint. 3. Customizing Login Options: - Modify the default login options in Windows Vista to streamline the process further. - Ensure that the fingerprint reader software and associated drivers are compatible and functioning correctly with BioLogon. By implementing a tool like BioLogon and configuring it to recognize specific fingers for each user account, you can automate the login process based on the fingerprint used, minimizing the manual effort of entering account details on the login screen. It's crucial to ensure compatibility and proper setup of BioLogon with your fingerprint reader device to enable seamless automatic login based on the recognized fingerprints. Feel free to explore BioLogon's capabilities and check for any specific configurations required to align it with your Vista setup for a more convenient and secure login experience.
